I'm James MacPherson, I'm 49 and work in adult education. I have a degree in politics, am a qualified college lecturer and was a captain in the Territorial Army. Born in Durham, apart from my education and when my career has taken me overseas, I've lived in the North East all of my life.

I was a Labour Party member, but the party no longer stands up for working people. All they do now is import workers and export jobs. The recent closure of Corus sums up the failure of the old parties to defend British industry. In the final analysis the strategic industries of these islands belongs in the hands of the British people.

Stockton, as with many towns in the NE is facing a massive demographic change in its population due to uncontrolled immigration and asylum seeking. Immigration is the key issue in this election, but it's an issue the establishment parties are afraid to address. A line in the sand has to be drawn, and only the BNP are prepared to draw that line.

Having worked in many parts of the world I genuinely enjoy the rich tapestry of mankind, in which each people have their own contribution to make. The British people are no different in that respect and have an equal right to a land of their own. On immigration, on Europe, on law and order, on issue after issue the old parties have failed to represent your views. I intend to represent those views.

I’m Michael Ferguson and have been a resident in Middlesbrough all my life and have served on my local Community Council. I am proud to be representing the British National Party in my home town.

As a former I.C.I. and railway worker I have experienced employment changes, hardship and even taken reduced salaries just to stay in employment like many other local people.

There has been a massive decline in industry on Teesside and why is that? It’s because we have never had local politicians that have stood up for the area and its people.

One of the main policies I will be focusing on will be ‘BRING OUR TROOPS HOME’. I have seen too many families in Middlesbrough and the UK losing loved ones as young as 18 for an illegal war which does not benefit us. I want to see every one of our troops come home to their families and not losing their lives just for oil.

I also want to stop immigration because of the abuse of our system from which immigrants benefit, without ever paying in. This includes the immediate access to all of our services ie. Hospitals, schools, housing and benefits whilst local families are suffering.

The following are the main policies the British National Party are contesting this election on.

• Support our troops - Bring our Troops Home
• British jobs for British Workers
• Stop Immigration - no amnesty for illegal immigrants and bogus/failed asylum seekers.
• Local people first for Housing, Schools and Public Services.
• Increase the Basic Pension to £150 (min)
• Withdraw from the European Union

On May 6th a vote for Michael Stewart Ferguson is a vote for the people of Middlesbrough.

Teesside activists receive warm welcome

For over a week teams of BNP activists have been leafleting across Teesside and receiving a fantastic response from people who are sick of the old gang parties.

James Macpherson, Regional Elections Officer and parliamentary candidate for Stockton North said “we have been active in Stockton market. The response has been unbelievable. People are getting sick of Labour and many are telling us that they will vote for us.”

Kevin Broughton the parliamentary candidate for Redcar was delivering Voice of Freedom newspapers to houses in the Grangetown and Whale Hill areas. The response was good with some people putting BNP posters in their windows.

There have been reports of labour party activists leafleting outside of Netto supermarket in Whale Hill. To say they didn’t get a warm welcome would be a bit of an understatement.

Teesside BNP is fielding a full slate of candidates. This means if you live in Teesside you will have the chance to vote for us. The BNP candidates in your area are:

Teesside BNP would like to wish Peter Hodgkinson good luck in his attempt to become Councillor of Primrose Ward in the by-election tomorrow (25th feb).

All week Teesside BNP activists have been in the ward helping out with canvassing, leafleting and other activities to help win the election. Teesside activists have said they have never seen such a good response to the BNP from voters. Some feel that this is the best chance the North East BNP has ever had.

By Friday morning Tyneside BNP could have the first North East BNP councillor. We are all crossing our fingers.

Teesside BNP fundraiser

Teesside BNP will be hosting a fundraising event to raise money for the general election. Central Middlesbrough BNP organiser and prospective Parliamentary candidate Michael Ferguson is organising the event. Tickets are £5. BNP hold first Guisborough meeting

On Tuesday around 50 members and supporters attended the first ever meeting in Guisborough with a selection of different speakers talking about a variety of subjects.

Kevin Broughton, the organiser for the area started off by talking about how far Teesside has come in the last few years. Just 1 year ago there was just 1 branch covering the whole of Teesside but the area has grown so fast that there are now 5 different branches and a lot more work as is a constant flood of new enquiries.

Kevin began talking about village life and how people in rural areas don’t get much attention from political parties. This has started to change with local Teesside activists leafleting areas like Staithes with more to come.

Activism was the next subject. Kevin said that “five people can do a ward in half a day. Leafleting isn’t hard and can be a positive experience for all. There will be leafleting sessions coming soon leading up to the election. Don’t worry if you haven’t leafleted before as you will be partnered with someone who has done it.”

Regional Elections officer James Macpherson was the next speak. He spoke of history and tradition. He talked about how his home village of Sedgefield recently ignored the health and safety Gestapo by continuing their 1000 year old sporting tradition. “It’s amazing that for 1000 years the people of Sedgefield have continued the tradition. In the past 1000 years countries have risen and fallen but the game still continues even with the threats from the health and safety brigade”.

James has also been tracing his ancestry and has traced his ancestry back to the 1500s in East Cleveland. His ancestor Thomas Fishburn built ships for Captain Cook that helped explore the unknown world. He said “we all have roots in this country so we should do everything we can to save it”.

James then went on to talk about pubs and how pub closures are a deliberate policy to prevent people discussing ideas which happened in communist countries. The closures are used to continue the breakdown of our culture and to stop people meeting up. James said “it all started with the smoking ban and now people would rather stay at home and drink cheap alcohol from supermarkets. This has meant pubs are closing around the country which is exactly what the government want”.

“The only way to save this country is by voting BNP. The other parties don’t give you any choice as they are all the same – the may as well be just one party”.

“There is a myth that the BNP only get votes from places suffering from desperation or racial tension. We are on the verge of winning in Rift House ward in Hartlepool.”

He ended his speech by talking about the final closure of Corus. “The main reason for the closure is because of foreign ownership. Foreign owners will always put their people first and are much more likely to make a Brit unemployed than their own countrymen.

Our core industries should not be in the hands of rich industrialists. Our core industries belong to us and when we are in power we will nationalise them. We don’t have long to save our country and we need more people to help with leafleting and spreading the message.”

Kevin Broughton then gave a talk on the ‘where we stand’ leaflets. “These leaflets are the most powerful weapon in our arsenal. It shows we aren’t just a one issue party”.

There was then a small break where the raffle was announced and the buffet was opened.

The next speaker was Central Middlesbrough organiser Michael Fergusson. He discussed local crime committed by immigrants and asylum seekers. He spoke of a gang of Iraqi asylum seekers who raped a young woman. The gang was caught but only given 3 years of probation because they had their houses attacked by people who don’t enjoy having their local women raped.

The local newspapers refused to publish the next story. “The Middlesbrough Asian Centre was raided by police after those running it were found to be taking underage boys and girls there for sex. It was closed down and now it will be set again with taxpayers’ money”.

“Recently there has been a lot of Eastern European organised crime committed by Czechs against elderly people. One 96 year old man was kept for 2 hours while they raided his bank accounts and took everything from him”.

Corus was again spoken of. “In December I held an open meeting to save Corus. Over 6 days a group of 8 dedicated activists leafleted 10,000 homes informing people of what we were doing. Not many people actually turned up and I have found out why. I have been told by other people who work at Corus that their unions threatened any members that turned up to the meeting. Thanks to those leaflets, we are still getting enquiries from Corus workers who will hopefully get involved soon”.

Kevin Broughton then ended the meeting by talking about the general election then holding a question and answers session.

Hartlepool BNP raise £1,300

Hartlepool’s General Election Campaign went off to a flying start on Monday with just over £1,300 being raised to help fight the election.

North East BNP Organiser Ken Booth opened the meeting talking about what has happened in the past in the North East and how in some wards the BNP have came close to winning council seats especially in Hartlepool where Ronnie Bage came within 57 votes of taking Rift House ward.

Jan Purvis was up next talking about her role as organiser of the women’s BNP group. She talked about how there are now there are now women’s groups in many areas of the North East including Berwick, Anwick, Morpeth and other areas. The women hold friendly meetings together and take part in activism.

Jan then went onto discuss how Islam and women’s right are incompatible. For instance the Qur’an states that in a court of law their testimony is worth half that of a man and if a woman accusing a man of rape she must have 4 witnesses to verify her story as women are classed as liars.

Jan then finished by talking about how the EU is taking away our independence and how Britain can be outvoted on almost any issue.

Hartlepool Organiser Ronnie Bage was next to speak. He said that “There has never been a better time for the BNP”. He talked about his experiences when he helped out canvassing in Jarrow. The response was amazing with almost every household that he canvassed saying something positive about the party. The war on terror, recession and thieving MPs has all helped push people towards our party. Ronnie Bage said “We must take advantage of the situation to get elected”.

Ronnie then discussed his experiences when he last stood at the local elections in Rift House ward. “Watching the count it looked like we were going to win it, you could see the sweat dripping from the labour mob as they realised that it could be over for them. Then the postal votes were counted and Labour won it. Was it fraud or just the reality of the situation?”.

Middlesbrough South and Cleveland Organiser Kevin Broughton was the next speaker. He started off by discussing progress in the rest of Teesside and suggested that activists should hit the smaller areas such as villages who hardly ever get a leaflet. As Middlesbrough South and Cleveland Organiser he has been doing the same thing and going to places like Staithes and is planning to leaflet other villages.

Kevin then informed the audience of a Middlesbrough fundraising event for the rest of Teesside on the last Friday of the month and said that there Middlesbrough South and Cleveland will be having a meeting on Tuesday (tonight) in a brand new venue.

Kevin then contrasted what Hartlepool is like now to 5 years ago. “5 years ago Hartlepool had just 1 activist and never had a candidate and now we have a room of 60 people here tonight as well as a Hartlepool branch that has become too big to be part of Teesside branch. We have a candidate who almost won in Rift House ward and is preparing to stand for Parliament. What has happened here in the last 5 years shows the dedication of all involved”.

Kevin said that the best weapon the BNP has are the where we stand leaflets which shows all you need to know about the BNP. “The Where We stand leaflets show that the BNP isn’t just a one issue party. The leaflets show that we have a diverse range of policies on issues as diverse as farming, the military and foreign aid.

The next speaker of the night was Pete Malloy. He talked about immigrants and said that “We can’t blame immigrants for coming here. If you were offered 5 times your salary for the job you are doing now you would go there. It’s human nature. We should be blaming the greedy employers and the white middle class do gooders who have let it happen”.

He then talked of the war in Afghanistan and suggested alternative reasons for the war such as peak oil. He suggested that one of the reasons for the war was for an oil pipeline in Helmand province.

Pete then talked about the BNP membership change and said “we had to change it. We had to be cunning so we could survive and fight on. It won’t change anything – we will still fight for British people”.

Ronnie Bage then closed the meeting with a questions and answers session on different issues including the membership change.

£60 million is not enough

Ex Railway worker and current Central Middlesbrough BNP Organiser Michael Ferguson opened last night’s meeting to save British jobs at Corus.

Over the years Teesside has been given promises after promises to regenerate the area and it has all come to nothing. The area is littered with false government promises. These include Digital City which only ever created a few hundred jobs and the Middlehaven project.

The government is frittering away money that could be given to Teesside to help regenerate the area. While this country faces cuts to public services we are still increasing our foreign aid and we are still paying £47 million per day to be in the European Union.

The £60 million that Teesside has been promised is not nearly enough. It represents less than £130 per person. What jobs will be created for that price? As you can see the government is not doing enough to help. How much difference would we see if instead of giving £47 million per day to the EU we ploughed just 28 days worth of our EU contribution into Teesside?

When Corus is gone how will Teesside recover? What will happen to the skilled workers that will be needed to build Teesside’s future? Already Corus workers are being offered the chance to leave an area where they see no future and go live in Australia or New Zealand . If they leave will we ever get them back?

Ex Labour member Pete Malloy was the next speaker. Up until 2006 he was labour member based in Liverpool but left after realising that Labour had become the problem as he believed them to be globalist capitalists and the only difference between them and the other two parties was the colour of their rosette.

He believes in local jobs for local people as it keeps skills in the area and means that those workers spend money where they live to keep the economy strong. The BNP believes in these principles. Pete Malloy then said that The BNP is more like old Labour.

He went on to contrast the aid given to Teesside to the foreign aid given out. He then went on to call for nationalisation of Corus and said it should have never been nationalised in the first place as it should be for the commonwealth of the people and not left to the decisions of politicians.

To get control of our own economy we must pull out of Europe and end immigration into this country and train our own people for the jobs of the future.

Mark Walker was next up. He called on everyone to join Solidarity for just £5 as you can’t rely on other unions to put your interests first. Solidarity will put your interests first and will stick up for your freedom.

The final speaker was Steve Finnan. He talked about the economy and how the country bailed out the banks for £850 billion which dwarfs the annual defence budget of £31 billion and which will probably take 20 years to pay off which will shackle future workers to high taxes and poor public services.

While we are in recession countries that never bailed out their banks are coming out of recession. Even if this wasn’t the case we still should never have bailed out the banks.

As the recession continues we will see more closures just like Corus as foreign companies will (quite rightly) put THEIR people first. We can already see this with Japan, India and America. It is time our government does something to protect our people and not get rid of public sector jobs in the middle of a recession.

December News

Nine BNP activists today leafleted parts of Eston, Bankfields and Whale Hill. Thousands of leaflets were given out. People came out telling us what a good job we were doing and saying they would be voting for us when the time comes.

Michael Ferguson then informed us that he will be holding an emergency meeting in Middlesbrough on Monday 14th December at 7.30pm. The meeting is being held after news of job losses in Corus. Everyone is invited to attend. Middlesbrough Mayor Ray Mallon and local Councillors have all been sent invites and it is hoped that we can all put political differences aside in the fight to secure British jobs.

The event will be held in the Laurel Pub which is not far from the university. The time and place is being advertised as a goodwill gesture to show that if we all work together we can do something. We hope people feel the same way.

Central Middlesbrough BNP hold last meeting of the year

30 BNP supporters attended Central Middlesbrough’s 2nd ever BNP meeting with new Central Middlesbrough BNP organiser Michael Ferguson opening the meeting.

New Central Middlesbrough Fundholder Dave Scott began by talking about the rise of the local BNP. He talked about the rise in activism and the fact that they have never had so much support in the area. He encouraged the audience to donate just 1 hour of their time per week to help the BNP succeed.

He then discussed the Cumbria floods and showed the differences in aid between the victims of flooding in Cumbria and the aid given to foreign countries like India.

Michael Ferguson then gave a brief talk on the European Union and asked what an economically depressed area like Teesside would do with £47 million per day which we give to the European Union. Even though they get so much money they now want more to go to Eastern Europe to develop the fuel of the future. Teesside is known for its chemical industry so why not get Teesside to develop greener fuels for the future?

Cheryl Dunn was the next speaker. She is the Hartlepool Fundraiser and talked about her experiences of standing in elections including when she stood for the mayor of Hartlepool. She discussed possible fraud in the election which meant some BNP votes were placed with UKIP’s votes.

There was then a break with a raffle and buffet before Michael Ferguson gave yet another speech. This time he discussed how the new European Constitution and controls everything which past generations have fought and died for. The Bill of Rights was won after the Peasants Revolt. This will now mean nothing when the constitution comes in to force.

At the end of the night there was a question and answers session which the three speakers handled well.

The rise of Middlesbrough BNP

On Wednesday around 30 people attended the Middlesbrough BNP meeting which was opened by new Middlesbrough BNP organiser Michael Fergusson.

This was the first ever meeting in Middlesbrough town centre and is testament to the rapidly growing support in the area. The meeting was attended by lots of new faces who were happy that the BNP had finally come to Middlesbrough.

The meeting kicked off with Linda discussing the wonders of Sharia Law and showing just how oppressed people in this country would be if those marching for Sharia Law had their way.

The last speaker of the night was Kevin Broughton who showed how we can support our troops. He said it is free to send parcels to war zones so if you can afford bottled water you can send it to our troops. Sending letters will also keep their spirits up while they are away from home.

September BNP meeting

Around 30 BNP supporters attended yesterday’s Teesside BNP meeting with three speakers talking about a wide variety of topics.

First up was Kevin Broughton who talked about the levels of activism and how anyone can help out. He talked about how Teesside BNP was growing and told the audience that Teesside had grown so much in the last 12 months that more organisers had to be promoted to deal with different areas of Teesside. Before the European elections we would have on average 3 or 4 enquiries per week. Since Nick Griffin and Andrew Brons were elected this has increased to 30 enquiries per week.

James Macpherson was next up and talked about his work as regional elections officer and why Teesside has become too big for just one organiser. He went on to talk about the situation with the BNP at national level and the implications of a Question Time appearance.

The last speaker was special guest speaker Peter Malloy who was once a prominent member of Liverpool Fathers 4 Justice. He talked about the BNP’s policies on the family and adoption.

Dormanstown result

The results of the Dormanstown election are in and the BNP have come third. Our share of the vote has decreased from the April by election but this is to be expected after a determined UAF managed to spread lies and misinformation.

Members of Teesside BNP have reported UAF’s involvement to election officials and the matter is now being handled by them. The final result was:

Dormanstown Meet The Real BNP

Owing to the growing support in Teesside and the coming Dormanstown by election, a meeting was held where people in Dormanstown were invited to coming along and meet the real BNP.

The meeting was a success with many people coming along and asking their questions and some appearing as though they will become active in their area. About £50 was raised from paper sales, merchandise sales and donations.

This was the first advertised ‘meet the real BNP meeting’ and appeared to be a success. There were no opponents trying to disrupt the meeting. If our successes continue we will advertise many more of these meetings.

The Dormanstown election will be held on Thursday 23rd July and the BNP are looking to improve on the 16% achieved in April.

Group reorganisation

During the last few months Teesside BNP has experienced impressive growth. This has shown the need for Teesside to be split up into 4-6 separate areas.

Michael Ferguson will be taking on the Middlesbrough town organiser role. Kevin Broughton will be taking on the role of Middlesbrough and East Cleveland organiser. There are promotions for others too but they will be announced at a later date.

As well as a bit of group reorganisation there may also be more contributors to this blog so our loyal readers will be able to find out more of what is going on in Teesside.

Hartlepool mayor result

The Hartlepool mayoral results are in with Cheryl Dunn winning 1352 votes and coming 6th out of 13. The final results were:

Stuart Drummond has been re-elected as the Mayor of Hartlepool following the election on Thursday 4 June.

The first round results were as follows:-

This resulted in a further 1599 votes for Stuart Drummond and 1743 votes for Ian Cameron giving Stuart Drummond an overall majority of 844.

North Ormesby results announced

The BNP managed to come second in North Ormesby, behind Labour in a ward that we have never contested before. The BNP managed to get almost 20% of the vote. If this was repeated across the North East in the Euro elections then the BNP could take a seat in the European Parliament.

North Ormesby election on Thursday

Victory beckons in North Ormesby as election day approaches with our candidate expected to do very well if our canvas returns are to be believed.

This is the only election in Teesside before the European elections. Over the past two weeks, teams of activists have been taking it in two shifts to deliver leaflets and canvas in the ward. The activists have worked hard but there will be no rest for them after the North Ormesby election as they then will head to Hartlepool to help fight the Hartlepool Mayoral election which is to be held on the same day as the European elections. After that our dedicated activists can then rest for a few days before heading to Dormanstown to fight an upcoming by election.

Intimidation fails to stop BNP

Teams of activists have been helping out all week in North Ormesby in preparation for the coming by election.

A fantastic response has been gained all over this ward. It looks as though this is the best response so far with the majority of people spoken to saying that they believe what we say.

We have had such a good response that some of the local Asian community aren’t too happy about it. A team of 9 Asians converged on our stall which was manned by two guest activists from Durham (Kirsty) and South Tyneside (Scott). They mouthed obscenities and spat at the people behind the stall before the police restored order and gave the activists an emergency contact number in case it happens again. Unfortunately those behind the incident weren't arrested.

Busy few months for Teesside BNP

About ten activists attended to the day of action in North Ormesby in support of our candidate Michael Trainor for the coming by election.

The day started with the activists distributing Voice of Freedom newspapers to the people in the ward. After that there was a 4 car convoy around North Ormesby with BNP flags and posters to raise BNP awareness.

For Teesside BNP there are a few crucial elections elections coming up. After North Ormesby it is then on to Hartlepool where Cheryl Dunn will be standing for Mayor. After Hartlepool it once again onto Dormanstown where because of the death of another councillor there will be another by election which will probably be held in July. In April we fought a by election in Dormanstown and managed to achieve an admirable 16% in a ward that we have never contested before.

The Hartlepool election result has come in and Cheryl Dunn of the BNP achieved 4th place with 157 votes in a ward which the BNP has never contested.

The final results were:

UKIP: 300
Lib Dems: 166
BNP: 157
Conservative: 102

Cheryl now looks forward to standing in the Hartlepool mayoral election on 4th June, on the same day as the European elections. Teesside BNP will also be contesting the North Ormesby by election just a few days before 4th June.

BNP to fight two by elections

On Saturday more than 20 activists were out campaigning in Rossmere ward in Hartlepool on behalf of the candidate Cheryl Dunn.

The BNP activists covered three quarters of the ward with the final full-colour election address and canvassed about a third with more activism due to be carried out right up until election day on Thursday with Cheryl looking as if she could get a good result in a ward which has never been contested before.

After Hartlepool, Teesside BNP has yet another election to fight in Middlesbrough in North Ormesby ward where the election will be held just a few days before the European elections.

BNP come third in Dormanstown

The results are in and the BNP managed to come third with 305 votes in a ward we have never contested before.

We were squeezed by the votes of the Labour and Liberal Democrats. In the end the Liberal Democrats won, beating Labour by 142 votes.

Ken Booth arrested for friendly banter

Strange things seem to be happening in the North East of England with regards the British National Party (BNP) candidates standing in the forthcoming European elections in June.

The number one list candidate and leading community campaigner, Adam Walker, a Sunderland schoolteacher, is facing a further free speech hearing at the General Teaching Council (GTC) in Birmingham later this year after remarks he made on an internet forum critical of immigration and Islam. The second candidate on the list, Peter Mailer, has been arrested twice by Northumbria Police after complaints about politically incorrect material displayed in his pub in Warkworth, Northumberland, after an initial complaint by an off-duty top copper from Nottingham, whose identity still remains a mystery.

Now Ken Booth, who lives in Newcastle upon Tyne, the number three candidate on the list and the regional organiser for the BNP in the North East, has been arrested and bailed by Northumbria Police. It follows a complaint of 'racially aggravated' harassment by a muslim Labour councillor in the city, Dipu Ahad, after a recent election count at Newcastle's Civic Centre where Mr Booth polled nearly 30% of the vote in the closely contested Fenham by-election and came close to causing an upset in a seat that Labour subsequently lost to the Liberal Democrats, who also control the city council after decades of Labour rule. Mr Booth had also previously polled very strongly in Councillor Ahad's neighbouring Elswick ward last May.

Following the arrest, Acting Chief Inspector Sav Patsalos of Northumbria Police said: "When any such incidents are brought to our attention they are treated very seriously and we take appropriate action."

However, the actual 'incident' was bizarrely initiated by Councillor Ahad prior to the count, who was smiling throughout and which ended in a friendly handshake between the two men. Councillor Ahad then made the complaint a few days later despite the presence of numerous police officers from Northumbria Police at this important election count.

In response to Ken Booth's arrest, a spokesman for the BNP said: "The public can see what is happening and I am sure that in this particular instance, we, as a party, have got nothing to fear. People in the North East are sick and tired of this politically correct nonsense."

The 'banter' at the count was also witnessed by two female Labour councillors, one of whom is a muslim, and a researcher for the Newcastle Labour MP, Jim Cousins. A number of BNP scrutineers at the count also witnessed the good-natured exchange. The subsequent complaint to Northumbria Police by the muslim Labour councillor is seen as 'politically-motivated' by many in the city after the enormous amount of support Ken Booth and the BNP has gained recently in certain parts of Newcastle.

He has been bailed until Wednesday, April the 15th.

Labour and BNP play games

Today was yet another successful day of activism in Dormanstown with over 20 activists taking part in some form of activism. Activists included Kev Scott and North East Regional Organiser Ken Booth.

It seems that Labour activists enjoy playing games which they can’t win. Ken Booth put up a roadside placard which Labour activists seemed to dislike. They moaned that we should take it down and when we didn’t they stood in front of it with a Labour placard. Not to be beaten Ken got another placard and stood in front of them and then the same Labour activists tried to stand in front of Ken. This went on until Ken stood at the edge of the pavement which would have forced the Labour activists to stand on the road and perhaps get run over by passing traffic. Unfortunately they didn’t oblige and went away beaten and demoralised.

Labour activists do look like they are in a panic. Vera Baird, the local MP was seen out campaigning for the Labour party but they could only manage seven activists against our 20. Fortunately we have only seen one lonely Liberal Democrat out leafleting and we have yet to see any Conservatives.

You may remember Barry Towers – the brave man who stood up for his country and was sacked by Middlesbrough Football Club.

Barry is still campaigning and helping us in any way he can. Setbacks just make him more determined to support the BNP. He always has a BNP poster in his window so everyone can see his support. Yesterday cowardly thugs smashed his window in the early hours of the morning because of the poster in his window. These people are so cowardly that they had to wait for it to be night and with him in bed before they dared smash a window.

Barry said “this just makes me even more determined to fight for Britain. These cowardly thugs will not deter my love of my country. I will continue to spread the word and help our candidates in any way I can”.

Nick Griffin visits Dormanstown

The Labour Party was left shaking in Dormanstown with another 20 activists out campaigning and delivering leaflets.

The numbers that helped us show that even on a week day we can muster enough to scare the Labour party who could only manage to get 7 greying activists out on a weekend.

As promised there was another surprise for the shell shocked Labour Party with BNP chairman Nick Griffin giving Lynne Payne a helping hand with her campaign to become councillor of Dormanstown.

Around 20 BNP activists travelled to Dormanstown for yet another day of activism, some coming as far away as Darlington to show their support.

The day started with a pre activism meeting in a car park where the local Labour party were also planning and scheming with their grand total of eight (8) activists who looked increasingly shell shocked as more and more BNP activists showed up.

The activists were split up into three groups, some manning a table top. The second group leafleting and the third group canvassing. The activists received a warm response with passing cars beeping their horns in support.

The local Labour group while concerned at the start of the day will be even more concerned when they find out what we have planned for Monday.

Benefits to asylum seekers exposed

A local BNP activist has exposed the benefits that asylum seekers receive courtesy of Middlesbrough Council even if their application has been rejected.

Asylum seekers get £40 per week for gas and electricity and another £35 per week per person towards food, clothing and toiletries. Failed asylum seekers don’t get money to pay for food but they do get vouchers worth £35 per week.

This means that a family of four gets £140 for food and another £40 for gas and electricity which means they get £180. That means in one year a family of four will get £9360. This is more than many British families spend on household bills.

Below is the information for you to see with your own eyes. From the first answer we can estimate that there are 33 asylum seeker families in Middlesbrough. If we estimate that each family is a family of four then the price for food, clothing and toiletries will be £308,880. If we add on the price of electricity and gas then we find that the price that Middlesbrough is paying for these asylum seekers is about £378,717.

QUESTION 1:
Do asylum seekers and/or refugees get free top up cards for gas and electricity from Middlesbrough House or any Council owned property which is paid for by the council or another third party or government agency? How much can they claim per week and in 2008 how much was spent on this in Middlesbrough?

ANSWER 1:
Middlesbrough Council is one of three providers who has a contract with the Home Office to accommodate and support asylum seekers dispersed to the Town. Utility costs are part of the support provision within the contract and fully funded from contract income. In general asylum seekers are allocated £20 per week for gas and £20 per week for electricity with a provision for additional funds if necessary. The payment of gas and electricity is dependent on the property they inhabit, some have top up cards, others receive quarterley bills . The Council's spend on Gas and Electricity in this financial year to date is £69,837.34.

Dormanstown day of action

A dozen BNP activists attended a day of action in Dormanstown in Redcar in preparation for a by election in April.

The activists split into two groups, one group leafleting while another group manned a stall and gave out over 100 newspapers and talked to many people who stopped and talked.

The response was positive with people coming to talk and thanking us for coming to Dormanstown. Passing cars even beeped their horns when passing.

The day of action ended at 2.30 with nearly all of the newspapers and literature gone and many promises to vote.

Anti-BNPers fail to stop November meeting

About 80 people packed the venue on Monday for the November meeting to hear Nick Griffin and other speakers.

The meeting was overshadowed by threats to the owners of the pubs by government storm troopers and threatening leftwing loons. The first meeting place cancelled 3 days before the meeting was to be held after government storm troopers gave the owners a talk about licensing while others were making threats against the pub.

With only 3 days to go the meeting organisers were able to find another pub within hours and a Herculean effort ensued to inform people of the change of venue. The new owners also had a visit from the police just a few hours before the meeting was about to start ‘informing’ them that they have to advise the police when they hold political meetings on their premises. The owners were not scared off by this and allowed the meeting to start.

The meeting was opened with James Macpherson who talked about the leaked BNP list and how our fathers and grandfathers coped in the world wars. Alan O’reilly continued this with a talk on 90 years on from World War 1 which can also be read in Identity Magazine.

Mark Walker the Solidarity General Secretary was our other guest speaker and talked about Solidarity and told a humorous story about a crank call he received after his phone number was made public. The crank caller could be joining the BNP, well we might want him when he matures enough to stop doing crank calls.

At the end of the night Nick Griffin gave a questions and answers session which lasted about an hour. Everyone was impressed and almost £250 was raised on the night.

BNP come third in South Bank

Bernard Collinson, the British National Party candidate came third in the South Bank by election, being beaten by Labour and the Liberal Democrats.

Bernard managed to win just over 15% of the vote in a ward that we have only contested once before. The Hope Note Hate campaigners were out leafleting the ward a few days before the election so that could have lowered the amount of votes we achieved.

The BNP will now be focusing on other areas of Teesside in case of any other upcoming by elections that may happen in the future.

BNP continue campaign in South Bank

The Kirkleatham by election produced results that meant that the British National Party never took the ward.

The BNP managed to get just over 5% of the vote with the Liberal Democrats taking the ward with over 1000 votes.

The fight continues as teams of activists will be campaigning all week in the next by election in South Bank where the BNP have a fantastic opportunity of making a breakthrough. The last time we stood in South Bank we managed to win 17% of the vote. With a little extra effort we can win it.

BNP prepare for by elections

Teams of BNP activists have been busily leafleting in preparation for 2 coming by elections in Kirkleatham and South Bank.

Activists have found that they are getting lots of support especially in South Bank where people are coming up to our activists and thanking us for standing in their ward. South Bank seems especially supportive given that in the last election we won just over 17% of the vote in that ward. With a bit of extra effort we can win South Bank.

The prospect of the BNP making a breakthrough has sent shivers down the backs of the establishment causing Hope Note Hate to get their activists out spreading lies on glossy leaflets to the people of Kirkleatham. It is thought that Hope Note Hate will try to do the same in South Bank but it is unlikely that people in South Bank will listen.

The election in Kirkleatham is this Thursday but the election in South Bank will not be held then so we need anyone who can to help in South Bank where it looks like we can make a breakthrough.

Arthur Kemp speaks at July meeting

Arthur Kemp was the guest speaker at our last meeting which attracted over 55 people and a collection of over £380.

At the Start of the meeting it was announced that James MacPherson has been promoted to Teesside organiser which now means that he holds two offices within the party – that of Regional Elections Officer and Teesside organiser.

After being announced as Teesside Organiser James MacPherson chaired the meeting and Barry Towers was the first speaker. He spoke about standing up for what he believed in and being sacked by Middlesbrough Football Club. Andy Harris and Adam Walker then gave short speeches. It was then up to Arthur Kemp to give a long speech starting with the Battle of Trafalgar and ending with what is happening now and what could happen in the future.

Over 100 BNP supporters packed into tonight’s meeting to hear talks by Nick Griffin and people who have never made spoken in front of a BNP meeting before.

The meeting began with a 1 minute silence for racially motivated murder victim Keith Brown who was brutally stabbed to death. After that sombre moment topics ranged from speeches on Common Purpose to Keith Brown and many others including a question and answer session by Nick Griffin.

People who came to the meeting didn’t just enjoy the speeches that were on offer they also enjoyed a large buffet and a raffle to finish the night off.

Nick Griffin and members of civil liberty showed their support for Barry Towers by attending a protest against Middlesbrough Football Club’s disgraceful decision to sack Barry Towers.

A dozen free speech supporters turned up to hand in a petition which totalled almost 900 signatures, including 700 people that Barry Towers got to sign the petition while pounding streets of Middlesbrough. While protesting BBC Radio Tees and a freelance reporter interviewed Barry Towers and Nick Griffin. Even though the press were there Middlesbrough Football Club only allowed the protesters to stay for 20 minutes. Do you think they support free speech?

After the protest the majority of the protesters went to a nearby Middlesbrough pub and chatted with Nick Griffin and Kevin Scott (Civil Liberty) for over an hour.

In March Barry Towers stood as a candidate for the British National Party in a by election and gained around 11% of the vote. At the time he was employed as a steward by Middlesbrough Football Club. After finding out that Barry stood as for the BNP he was sacked for his involvement with us.

We have now decided that on Thursday May 15^th at 11am we are going to stage a protest over the disgraceful treatment of Barry Towers. Unfortunately the area around the Boro stadium is private land and we have been banned from protesting there, however there is a pub called The Navigation which is about 1 minute walking distance from the ground. This is where the police are allowing us to meet and protest. The police will allow us to walk to the ground to deliver the petition but we won't be able to stay at the ground for long.

Earlier today senior members of Teesside BNP met to discuss a number of issues including the protest at Middlesbrough Football Club.

As many of you know, Barry Towers stood as a candidate in a local council election in Middlesbrough. At the time he worked for Middlesbrough Football Club as a steward and finding that he was a BNP member they sacked him.

The protest has now been rearranged for 15^th May at 11am. People are asked to make their own way to the ground where we hope to make it a very loud presentation. The protest will end with the petition being handed in to Middlesbrough Football Club.

BNP increase share of vote

It was a good night for the BNP who came within 58 votes of winning Rift House Ward.

In the 2007 elections Ronnie Bage received 17.4% of the vote and came third. This time Ronnie came second with 28.4% of the vote. With only 58 votes short it seems like we can win there next time.

We can win in Hartlepool

The BNP is on course to win in atleast 1 ward in the Hartlepool elections on Thusday but needs your help to make a win a reality.

Our candidate, Ronnie Bage stood as a candidate in Rift House Ward last year, gaining 250 votes or just or just over 17%. This year UKIP is not standing in the ward so there will be no vote splitting. We have found that we can win in Rift House ward if 80% of the voters who voted UKIP last time vote for us and 130 people who voted Labour last time vote for us. With Labour declining in the polls and people seeing what a disaster Labour are for the country there is a real possibility that Rift House could be ours on Friday morning.

In Owton ward there is a possibility that we could win there too but we have never stood a candidate in the ward before. In the last elections there were only two candidates the Lib Dems and Labour. There are now 5 candidates with the Conservatives, UKIP and the BNP joining to battle it out. This ward could go any way. Presently the Lib Dems have the ward but they only have it with a majority of 22 votes. With an increased nationalist turnout we can win the ward.

We are now in the final week of the campaign in the Hartlepool local and it looks like we could win Rift House ward.

The battle continues as activists will be out every day this week pushing the third leaflet that we are using in the campaign. If you are a BNP supporter living in Hartlepool we could use your help. The more people we have leafleting the more of Rift House we can cover. If you aren’t helping, ask yourself why. Protest to be rescheduled

While the protest march was cancelled some patriotic freedom loving people did turn up not knowing that the march had been cancelled.

While the majority of people knew about it some people travelled from as far away as Darlington to join the march and register their disgust at the sacking of Barry Towers by Middlesbrough Football Club.

The protest is being rescheduled and it looks like it could be held sometime in mid May but it will probably just be a protest and not a march owing to the huge amount of paperwork that needs to be handed in and the cost of a march.

So far over 500 people have signed the petition in Middlesbrough town while only 131 have signed the online petition. The petition will still continue until the rescheduled protest.

Red tape gets march cancelled

The Saint Georges Day protest over the sacking of Barry Towers has been cancelled after the police stepped in to stop it citing problems with health and safety.

Teesside BNP has chosen to reorganise the protest until sometime in May so that they can concentrate BNP resources into fighting the elections in Hartlepool. The police have decided to overwhelm us with paperwork if we decide to go ahead with a protest in May. This includes risk assessments and employing our own stewards to help with security. As there is an election coming up Teesside BNP coffers are empty so it will be difficult to employ our own stewards.

Barry will tomorrow go to the stadium with two friends and attempt to hand in the petition as it is. The petition will be ongoing until the reorganised protest but it would be a great help if people could sign it today so Middlesbrough Football Club know the strength of the support behind Barry.

Election campaign moves forward

The Hartlepool election campaign is going from strength to strength with both target wards having been leafleted atleast once.

Rift House ward has so far been leafleted twice with Owton ward leafleted once. Still Hartlepool BNP will not just leave it at that. The hardworking BNP activists intend to be out there nearly every day up until the election spreading the message of hope.

On Thursday Hartlepool BNP will start the canvassing phase of the campaign to get BNP councillors elected. The more activists there are the more we can spread the message. Anyone wishing to help out in the campaign is asked to contact James MacPherson on 07905-198426.

Arrangements made for protest march

The final arrangements for the Saint Georges day protest march have been and the local media have been informed.

The march will start on Wednesday at 10am from Albert Park and the marchers will make their way to Middlesbrough Football stadium. Those that want to meet nearer the venue or want more information can call Barry Towers on 07757267624.

Smear campaign launched against Hartlepool BNP

The establishment parties have pulled out all the stops in Hartlepool as the chance of a BNP candidate being elected grows.

Earlier today 13 activists were out leafleting in Rift House and Owton wards. During the day they noticed that the establishment parties were getting panicky because there were Reds out on the street putting out anti BNP smear leaflets to stop the BNP from winning a first council ward in Hartlepool. According to some residents it hasn’t had much effect on the way that they will be voting.

The build up to the election is still going well even if a smear campaign has started against us. So far over 60% of Rift House ward and 40% of Owton ward has been covered in the run up to the election with more to be covered in the next few days.

Activists leaflet Hartlepool

Ten activists spent 4 hours in Hartlepool leafleting Rift House ward in preparation for the council elections in May.

Ronnie Bage, the candidate in the forthcoming election received widespread support whilst leafleting and is looking to increase his vote from 17.4% which he received in the last council election. The last election placed him third, just 42 votes short of the second place Liberal Democrats.

The BNP are even more confident of maintaining the momentum this time around as there are less candidates standing, owing to the declining UKIP not fielding a candidate.

Hundreds sign petition in Middlesbrough

Hundreds of freedom supporters signed a petition to get Middlesbrough Football Club to reinstate Barry Towers after he was sacked for his political beliefs.

Barry Towers went out alone in an increasingly multicultural area and managed to gather 300 signatures in just over 4 hours. This amazing support meant that Barry had 1 person signing his petition every 48 seconds. Such level of support is amazing and shows that people are starting to stand up for people who are persecuted for their political beliefs. Many people said they will also show their support by coming to the protest march.

The online petition has so far gathered 58 signatures and includes supporters of freedom from places like Equatorial Guinea, Germany, Ireland and Australia. James Ascot of Melbourne, Australia said “As an overseas fan of Boro I am ashamed of this action. No matter a persons political party to fire them from their job is a shamefull as fascistic act.”

Help Barry get his job back!

Barry Towers, the brave man who was sacked by Middlesbrough Football Club has decided to fight on and is asking freedom loving people to help.

The Local branch of the British National Party has created a petition and is asking those concerned to sign it and be willing to attend a Saint Georges Day march where the petition will be delivered to the Boro stadium.

Those wanting more information about the march or just want to wish Barry well are asked to contact him at 07757267624.

Fantastic election results gets BNP candidate sacked

The BNP showed impressive progress in two Middlesbrough by elections, each gaining around 11% in wards that the BNP have never stood in before.

While the results were a boost for the party, winning an impressive amount of votes in an increasingly enriched area, it has cost one candidate, Barry Towers his job after Middlesbrough Football Club sacked him as a steward after daring to stand up for his country. It is a shame that the club has taken this action but Barry has vowed to fight the sacking and is appealing against it with the help of the Solidarity trade union.

Since standing, Barry has become a bit of a celebrity in the town. He has been given so much support that he has organised a weekly chat with people who want to know more. This resulted in 3 ex employees of Cineworld coming to him for help after they were sacked and replaced by Eastern Europeans. Barry joined the picket and demonstrated against the treacherous sacking of these 3 hard working employees.

Teesside BNP show support for North Tyneside

Around 15 Teesside British National Party members travelled to Hebbon to support North Tyneside’s first meeting of the year.

There were a number of speakers including Arthur Kemp and Nick Griffin making a recorded speech on the efforts of the North Tyneside group.

Some Teesside members were lucky enough to win a box of chocolates in the raffle that was held. The meeting finished with Teesside Regional Elections Officer, James MacPherson giving a speech on the efforts of the Teesside group to win the coming by-elections.

February meeting results in 2 by election candidates

More than 50 people attended Thursday’s meeting where two possible candidates were found to fight two upcoming by-elections in Middlesbrough. The elections will be held in March.

Sedgefield BNP Secretary Carl Whelpdale, the Solidarity Union President Adam Walker and his brother Mark Walker all attended as guest speakers. Adam Walker spoke about his experiences of being sacked as a school teacher for daring to stand as a BNP candidate and told how much support he has received from the school children and their parents. Mark Walker talked about his own experience of being sacked for standing as a BNP candidate.

There was another speech from Regional Elections Officer James MacPherson on the campaigns being waged against the BNP from groups like Hope Not Hate. He then asked for anyone that was willing to stand in the coming by elections to come forward which led to two people putting their names down as possible candidates. This means that the people of Marton West and Gresham will have the option of choosing a BNP candidate in March.

Dozens attend September meeting

A number of people spoke including Alan O’reilly, James MacPherson and special guest speaker Harrogate Organiser Tom Linden. Remembrance and Flanders Fields

90 Years On

We are 90 years on from the 3^rd Battle of Ypres, fought in Belgium during WW1. It is often referred to as Passchendaele, or Flanders Fields.

It was fought between July 31^st and November 10^th 1917 and has gone down in history as the very worst of the ‘mud and blood’ of the trench warfare of the First World War.

Last Surviving Trench Veteran

A Mr Harry Patch is Britain's last surviving WW1 soldier who actually fought in the trenches of the Western Front; from June to September 1917. He is aged 109.

He took part in the 3^rd Battle of Ypres as a machine gunner in the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry[i].

Mr Patch says that for the last 90 years, he has never forgotten his three comrades-in-arms who were killed on September 22^nd 1917, in the same shell burst by which he was wounded. He was then to spend the rest of the war in hospital and convalescing.

He says therefore that September 22^nd is his Remembrance Day.

That is why I thought it particularly suitable that we should think about this subject at the meeting on this date.

Ypres Remembers

The townsfolk of Ypres, Belgium, remember, too.

In the wall surrounding the town of Ypres is a massive stone arch called the Menin Gate. The road through it leads to the town of Menin 2-3 miles to the southeast.

Every day, at 8:00 pm local time, the police stop the traffic via the Menin Gate and 2 buglers from the Ypres Fire Brigade sound The Last Post beneath the gate’s massive stone arch.

This daily ceremony was started on November 11^th 1929 and continues to this day, interrupted only by the German occupation of Ypres during WW2, from May 1940 to September 1944. The ceremony resumed the very evening that the Germans were driven out of the town by the advancing Allies.

The walls of the arch are inscribed with the names of 54,896 officers and men from Britain and the Commonwealth who were killed in the Ypres salient between the outbreak of war and 15^th August 1917 and have no known graves.

Tyne Cot

When the Menin Gate was built, it was found not to be large enough to contain all the names of the missing men.

Another 34,984 such names, of men who fell in the salient between August 16^th 1917 and the end of the war, are inscribed on the rear walls of Tyne Cot Cemetery, located on the slopes of Passchendaele Ridge, about a mile from the village of Passchendaele itself. The village lies about 6 miles northeast of Ypres.

Passchendaele was captured by the Canadians on November 10^th 1917 and was the furthest point the Allies reached in the battle. They took over three months to advance 5 miles. When it fell, Passchendaele village was little more than a brick-coloured stain on a watery landscape with the shell holes almost lip to lip.

During the battle, the area where the cemetery now stands was occupied by many concrete blockhouses or pillboxes, manned by German machine gunners. The Geordie soldiers of the 50^th Northumbrian Division likened these blockhouses to cottages along the banks of the River Tyne and called the area Tyne Cot. The name has stuck to this day.

Tyne Cot Cemetery itself contains 11,953 graves. It is the largest Commonwealth War Graves cemetery in the world[ii].

VC Winners

The graves at Tyne Cot include 2 winners of the Victoria Cross, buried close to where they won their awards - and lost their lives.

They were both Australians; Captain Clarence Jeffries and Sergeant Lewis McGee.

Sergeant McGee came from Tasmania, the detached bit of Australia at the bottom. He was 29 years of age and he left a widow, Eileen Rose.

Captain Jeffries came from Wallsend, New South Wales. He was 23 years old.

Wallsend is near the city of Newcastle in New South Wales and both names derive from Tyneside, because that area of Australia is a major coal-mining district. That is another tie with the old country.

During the Iraq War, some controversy surrounded the award of a VC to a black man who drove his vehicle away from a post of danger while the vehicles was on fire. It was suggested that because the recipient was black, the award was a political VC.

Be that as it may, it prompts the question, what did it take to win a Victoria Cross in WW1?

An extract from The London Gazette, No. 30433, dated 18^th Dec., 1917, records the following about Captain Jeffries:- “For most conspicuous bravery in attack, when his company was held up by enemy machine-gun fire from concrete emplacements. Organising a party, he rushed one emplacement, capturing four machine guns and thirty-five prisoners. He then led his company forward under extremely heavy enemy artillery barrage and enfilade machine-gun fire to the objective. Later, he again organised a successful attack on a machine-gun emplacement, capturing two machine guns and thirty more prisoners. This gallant officer was killed during the attack, but it was entirely due to his bravery and initiative that the centre of the attack was not held up for a lengthy period. His example had a most inspiring influence.”

Sergeant McGee was killed in a similar attack, displaying similar bravery. Their deeds were magnificent but the news reports must have been cold comfort to the loved ones who got the telegrams, like Eileen Rose.

But you can judge for yourself whether or not you think that Iraq VC was a political one.

The Cost

As indicated, the Flanders area was fought over for most of the war.

One researcher has reported that[iii]

“Of all the British dead of the Great War, all theatres, over a third were buried in the Ypres area.”

That amounts to over 300,000 individuals from Britain and the old Dominions.

Purnell’s History of the First World War, Volume 6, Page 2358, puts the total casualty figures for the 3^rd Battle of Ypres at 524,000; 200,000 German, 324,000 British and Allies,.

Each yard of ground gained during the battle cost Britain and her Allies 30 men.

Amongst the Allied casualties were 80,000 or 90,000 dead and missing.

The missing were almost half the total of fatal casualties and consist of those individuals whose remains were never found. Their names are commemorated on the panels of either the Menin Gate or Tyne Cot Cemetery.

Of course, the occupants of many of the graves in Tyne Cot and other WW1 cemeteries were unidentified and the inscription of the headstone reads: A Soldier of the Great War, 1914-1918, Known Unto God.

That expression Known Unto God is a quotation from a 1611 Authorised King James Bible. The English-speaking peoples of Britain and the Old Dominions will never get away from that Book, no matter what they do.

It is one thing that unites them. But they were united in 1914-18 and in 1939-45 - and won the victory each time.

Like the BNP song says, they stood together

We should remember that as well.

In fact, at the outbreak of WW1, the Canadian Prime Minister said, “When Britain is at war, Canada is at war. There is no distinction.”

The Australian Prime Minister said, “If England goes to her Armageddon [the final battle of the age], Australia will go with her.”

The young men proved it so. These are the ties of blood and race that our present leaders despise and are trying to destroy. They have to be resisted.

Personal Recollections

Many sources are available that will describe the course of the battle. It is not my purpose to go over that here. What are most important are the recollections of individuals[iv]^{, [v], [vi]} who endured the battle.

They highlighted various aspects of the campaign.

Corporal Joseph Pincombe spoke of the mud and the incessant shelling:

“We had to go through Ypres and up the Menin Road…Everywhere, as far as you could see, there were spurts of earth from shells bursting and bursts of shrapnel and high explosive…We could see stretcher-bearers coming through the mud to bring the wounded out. They were up to their knees in it, wallowing in it, struggling up carrying their stretchers to the field dressing-stations at the roadside. We could see the doctors and orderlies outside, working in their shirtsleeves, even in the rain, and everywhere, all over the road and shoved to the side were broken wagons, gun carriages and dead horses. You couldn’t speak, the gunfire was so terrific, but you don’t really hear the explosions individually – you just see them going off like geysers shooting up in the air. As far as you could see in front of you and to either side, there was nothing but mud, mud, mud for miles and just a few stumps of trees here and there and all hell let loose around you.”

Movement over many parts of the battlefield was only possible by means of miles of planking, called duckboards laid down by the Royal Engineers and the Pioneer Corps.

Private Richard Mercer spoke of these duckboards and their particular hazards:

“Passchendaele was just a terrible, terrible place. We used to walk along these wooden duckboards — something like ladders laid on the ground. The Germans would concentrate on these things. If a man was hit and wounded and fell off he could easily drown in the mud and never be seen again. You just did not want to go off the duckboards.”

In the 3^rd Battle of Ypres, the Germans used for the first time the terror weapon of mustard gas, a vaporising liquid that causes hideous burns and blisters.

Padre William Doyle spoke of his horror at the sight of a victim:

“The first thing I saw almost unnerved me – a young soldier lying on his back, his hands and face a mass of blue phosphorus flame. He was the first victim I had seen of the new mustard gas the Germans were using.”

As in any battle, if you were seriously wounded and not long for this world, it was good to have a mate beside you.

Private Harry Patch was in a situation like that:

“I fell in a trench. There was a fella there. He must have been about our age [nineteen]. He was ripped shoulder to waist with shrapnel. I held his hand for the last sixty seconds of his life. He only said one word: ‘Mother.’ I didn't see her, but she was there. No doubt about it. He passed from this life into the next, and it felt as if I was in God’s presence. I’ve never got over it. You never forget it. Never.

“Some of the boys buried here are the same age as me, killed on the same day I was fighting [aged nineteen]. Any one of them could have been me. I didn't know whether I would last longer than five minutes. We were the Poor Bloody Infantry and we were expendable. What a terrible waste.”

I’ve mentioned the Dominion troops.

Private Reginald Le Brun was a Canadian machine gunner. Like many Dominion soldiers, he was a first generation colonial. He had been born in the Channel Island of Jersey and afterwards he and his parents had emigrated to Canada where he’d grown up – yet more close links with the old country.

He said this about seeing most of his mates killed and wounded, something that happened to many WW1 survivors.

“They pushed the machine-guns right out in front. There was nothing between us and the Germans across the swamp. Three times during the night they shelled us heavily, and we had to keep on spraying bullets into the darkness to keep them from advancing. The night was alive with bullets. By morning, of our team of six, only my buddy Private Tombes and I were left. Then came the burst that got Tombes. It got him right in the head. His blood [and everything] spattered all over the front of my greatcoat and gas-mask. I was there trying to wipe it all off. It was a terrible feeling to be the only one left.”

Women as well as men served in the Flanders campaign.

Sister Jean Calder, who served in a Casualty Clearing Station:

“We’d had boys coming in all week…and we’d been busy, but the ones we got at the weekend were in a shocking state, because so many of them had been lying out in the mud before they could be picked up by the first-aid orderlies. Their clothes were simply filthy…We had to cut them off and do what we could. But it was too late for a lot of them, and many a one lost an arm or a leg that would have healed up right away if he’d been brought straight in. We felt terribly sorry for them but we had to try not to show our feelings, because it would never have done. We’d all have been sunk in gloom and then we’d have been no good to the men…But it was hard not to show sympathy.”

You can understand why the lads tended to regard the nursing Sisters as “The Roses of No-man’s Land.”

No Blacks or Indians

No black African or Indian units fought at Passchendaele. It was recognised by the end of 1915 that their infantry could not withstand the prolonged, combined cold and wet of the autumn and winter months on the Western Front.

No disrespect to those races but I know of no complaints of discrimination resulting from that conclusion. However, it raises the question, why populate a country like Britain with black Africans and Asians. In the long term, it would only weaken that nation’s physical resilience. I guess that is the agenda.

Finally

When Harry Patch made his first visit back to the Flanders salient about three years ago, he said to his driver that he did not want to go anywhere near Pilkem Ridge. Pilkem Ridge is on the extreme left of the salient and it was the place where Harry was wounded and his three mates were killed. The memories were still painful, after almost 90 years.

But later on during the visit, he asked to be taken up to Pilkem so that he could place a wreath at the memorial, in memory of his three friends. And so he did.

He attached a card to the wreath and it read, “You have never been forgotten.”

And we should never forget.

We owe so much to the men – and women- who served in Flanders Fields. It’s our fight now, for race and nation. Let’s keep on until we win the victory, like they did. Thank you.

100 attend branch meeting

100 people packed the room for Thursday’s BNP meeting. We had 5 speakers including 2 guest speakers who were Andrew Spence and Nick Griffin.

The first speaker was Andrew Harris who talked about the floods and the future of the BNP. Kevin Broughton then spoke about the need for activists and asked for many more to come forward. He also talked about the 3 stages to power.

After a short recess James MacPherson took to the flower and gave a very motivating speech which captured everyone in the room. Many people complimented him on the speech including Nick Griffin.

There was then another short recess and the small buffet was opened to everyone in the room. It was well liked by all.

Andrew Spence then got up and talked about the Sedgefield election and how one man can make a difference. He was a fuel protester. He told us how one man who takes a stand can bring a country to a standstill.

Nick Griffin then talked about the antiwhite racism going on in this country and the killing of Keith Brown who became the latest victim of multiculturalism. He talked about going to the funeral and receiving disgusting questions from a lady hack who asked “but didn’t he deserve to be stabbed?”.

There was then a short recess and there was a raffle and then donations which raised more than £150. Nick then gave a short questions and answers session.

7 activists go to the seaside!

7 Teesside activists joined activists from Scarborough, York and Bridlington to take part in a day of action in the seaside resort of Whitby.

The event was attended by 14 enthusiastic activists who were organised into small groups. There were 2 stalls around town selling BNP merchandise as well as 4 activists selling newspapers in different areas of town. Atleast one team of newspaper sellers managed to sell almost half of the newspapers that were given to them as well as receiving a number of donations from interested members of the public.

While merchandise was being sold other committed activists were pounding the streets leafleting many households in the area.

Unfortunately the day of action was drawn to a premature close after bad weather intervened but spirits remained high.

North Ormesby leafleted

Leafleting isn’t just for elections which is why Cleveland BNP decided to get a head start by leafleting North Ormesby in Middlesbrough. Middlesbrough has the most potential yet we never stood any candidates in the area. We hadn’t even leafleted the area until today.

The day started at 10.30 with 6 activists – 2 women and 4 men leafleting the area in threes. Among the most adventurous places that was leafleted was a Hindu Cultural Centre and a police station – yes even the police deserve a few leaflets especially the leaflets on crime. It’s strange how they had two letterboxes but that just meant more leaflets for them.

At 12.30 the activists had a drink, lunch and a chat about their day in the local pub for an hour where they were joined by a 7^th activist for the next part of the leafleting session. The day finished at 2.30 with only a few leaflets left over.

Teesside MPs vote to deceive

MPs have voted to exempt themselves from the Freedom of Information Act meaning that they won’t have to inform us how they spend our money or anything like that. They have placed themselves above the law. We should have the right to know what our money is being spent on.

How did your MP vote? Read this to see how your MP voted.

MPs for Teesside stand up for our right to know. They either never even bothered to turn up to vote or voted for the bill. Those that didn’t even bother to turn up were Ashok Kumar, Vera Baird, Frank Cook and Iain Wright.

Dari Taylor and Stuart Bell both voted for the bill.

Remember these people work for you and are paid by your money that they take through taxes. You should have every right to know how they spend it. They forget that the time will come where we can punish them at the ballot box. Hopefully they will regret their act of betrayal.

Branch meeting held

More than 40 members and supporters attended the first post election branch meeting on Thursday. Can you spot the skin head? We can’t. This is what normal members of the BNP look like:

Before the meeting began BNP merchandise were on sale. Lots of merchandise was bought from books to T-shirts.

The meeting began with a speech from James MacPherson who is the Stockton organiser and Regional Elections Officer. He talked about the election and our fantastic results. He reminded the audience that in one year there will be elections in Hartlepool and the BNP will be ready but need money and committed activists to take Hartlepool. Ronnie Bage will be standing like he did this time. Achieving 17% of the vote we think we can win the ward but we need money and activists.

After James we had another speech by Andrew Harris who was the Teesside organiser for many years but handed the title over to Ron Armes. Andrew talked about when he joined in 1999. There were only 3 members in the whole of Teesside. He took the leadership role and built it into an area that has many more members, so many that instead of having only 3 members Teesside now has 3 separate branches giving each area it’s own leader and the ability to focus on the area. We expect to increase the branches to 5 within 2 years if all goes to plan. Infact we already have someone interested in starting a Redcar branch and moving Redcar forward.

After Andy finished, the audience were directed to the small buffet which everyone seemed to enjoy. During the break a collection was also taken with many people contributing.

After the break a raffle was held. First prize was a framed picture of St George and second prize was a bottle of wine and torch.

After that speeches and the raffle we had a BNP quiz. Team Infidels beat everyone and won £20 prize money which they donated half of to the BNP.

Once the quiz ended Alan O’Reilly gave the last of the speeches lasting 20 minutes talking about the issues we face today including the EU, Islam and uncontrolled immigration.

At the end of the night the money raised was counted and the audience was told that they raised around £200 for Teesside BNP through the quiz, raffle and donations. Considering that there were only 40 members and supporters attending which is a considerable amount meaning that on average each person gave £5. £5 is all it takes to win our country back. How will you be helping to win Britain back?

Result analysis

Analysing the results in Redcar and Cleveland we have found that our results were better than expected. In 3 wards we faced challenges from the Liberal Democrats. In 2 out of 3 wards we beat them. In 4 wards we faced a challenge from the Conservatives and we beat them in 3 wards.

Things were even better than first thought when we found that in Southbank 17% of the electorate voted BNP but sadly people were allowed 3 votes which put our overall vote down to 7%. If people stuck with 1 vote the race could have been a very close, it may have even been to close to call.

The results weren’t so good in Stockton we faced UKIP 3 times beating them twice. We faced the Liberal Democrats once and unfortunately lost once. We faced the Conservatives 5 times beating them twice. In an area which the Labour party is strong we went up against them 5 times and lost 5 times.

Things weren’t all bad in Stockton. In Stockton Town Centre we came third but unfortunately it was a two seat ward. The lack of success in Stockton can be placed at the fact that UKIP and strong independents split the vote in many areas.

No BNP councillors elected

All results except 1 ward are finally in and unfortunately we never won any council seats. It was a bit disappointing but most of the wards that we stood in we were fighting for the very first time and for our first time we did well.

While unfortunately we never won any councillors the results will allow us to plan our strategy for the next election so we know which wards we should be targeting.

Election Day

It is finally Election Day. In our campaign so far we delivered over 25,000 leaflets fighting 10 seats. Our enquiries are running at levels we have never seen before.

Our people are in high spirits and are convinced this will be a fantastic day for Britain. We will be victorious!

Unfortunately our council is counting the votes on Friday morning which means there won’t be any results on this blog until atleast Friday afternoon.

Imagine a country where we elect our leaders in free and fair elections where there is no vote fraud. Imagine these elected leaders having limited power over us because of a bill of rights, unable to impose their will on us by stripping us of our freedom.

Imagine a country where citizens have regular referendums on areas that concern citizens. Imagine if citizens were the highest legislators of the land and those elected could not over rule them.

Imagine a country where the guilty are punished and our soldiers are made to feel like heroes.

Imagine a country that puts the needs of its elderly before those coming into the country who have never lived here before.

Imagine a country where all citizens have access to free healthcare and vulnerable citizens aren’t left alone for days on end in hospital left to fend for themselves.

Imagine a country where those that have been living in the country for years get priority for housing so they can start a family and bring their children up.

Imagine a country that actually helps workers and not leave them to be exploited by wealthy businessmen whose only loyalty is to their money.

Imagine a country which hires people based on their skill and not because of their race.

Stockton finished

Today, the last ward in central Stockton where the BNP is standing a candidate was finally leafleted with the 'Where We Stand' leaflets. This means that ever household in Stockton should have had a leaflet.

BNP take on UKIP

On Thursday Cleveland BNP successfully infiltrated a UKIP meeting in Stockton. Unfortunately 3 of the 8 spies were discovered. We think that they were discovered because they were the only ones not about to start claiming their pension.

The night was quite boring until it was raffle time. Our people were not happy with the prize that they won. Indeed, a balloon should never be a prize in a raffle especially when your audience are a bunch of 60 year olds. The Margaret Thatcher DVD looked like a pot of gold in comparison.

Our members managed to find out what UKIP were planning and we planned accordingly and today the first part of the plan began. 12 activists busily leafleted the whole of Roseworth Ward before lunch. The activists then met up for refreshments at a local pub and then leafleted Newtown ward. At the same time UKIP was seen out and about leafleting and driving about in cars with the UKIP banner on.

Within minutes of the leafleting finishing we received a phone call from an elderly lady who said she was definitely going to vote for us and she would help out a little the next time we leafleted her ward. She also requested a few posters to put in her window.

As was stated earlier in the week we also found out the plans of Labour and we found out that our intelligence was correct when our same spy came across them handing out leaflets outside Netto. Our spy had a chat with them without telling them who our spy was. Strangely 1 of the candidates wasn't even present and no one has seen him campaigning.

BNP leaflet Southbank

6 activists took to the streets and leafleted the whole of Southbank Ward. There were no major events except for a disgruntled elderly woman who came out of her home and shouted at two of the leafletters calling them “evil” over and over again before she went back inside.

The rest of the day went good with refreshments in a local pub and then off to leaflet again.

At 4pm James Mcpherson had a short interview with Radio Cleveland which will be broadcast between 7am - 10am on Tuesday.

Local paper not even acknowledging BNP candidates

It seems like our local paper, The Evening Gazette, has decided on a policy of going one further than the other papers who give have a ‘no platform for the BNP. Our Evening Gazette is using ‘No Acknowledgement of the BNP’.

In a news story today they mentioned the coming elections. Here is a quote:

Elsewhere, Eston is always one of the most keenly contested wards and 2007 looks no exception, with 11 candidates.

Going for the three seats are sitting members, Eston independents Ann Higgins and Vincent Smith, Independent Liz Beadle, Lib Dems Pat Todd, Colin Crawford and Carol Smith, Tory Russell Hutchinson and, for Labour, Beryl Dunning, Olwyn Peters and John Simms.

They say there are 11 candidates. Count them and you will find they haven’t mentioned the BNP candidate for the ward which is me (Wayne Burdett). At first I thought it must be a simple error but then I was told that it had happened before during the general election when they didn't acknowledge any of the parliamentary candidates even though the candidates sent in lengthy profiles of themselves

I have to wonder is this a ploy to stop people from knowing that they will be able to vote BNP at the election?

On Sunday 16 committed activists were out in force leafleting Coatham Ward. The response was excellent with interested members of the public asking questions about the BNP. The leafleting was done in good time which allowed the activists to start on Southbank before they took a much needed break in the local pub where they had drinks and talked about the day.

7 hardworking activists leafleted Village Ward in Thornaby earlier today. The people of the ward were very friendly, some even came out to greet our activists and eagerly took leaflets to give to family members while others came out of their homes to discuss our policies.

The BNP leafleting teams have a long week ahead of them as they have planned a number of leafleting sessions, both during the morning and during the evening to make sure that everyone gets a leaflet so they know who to vote for.

Cleveland Labour group discuss strategy

The Labour Group today held a private meeting in the Labour club in Eston. Some notable Labour members were there including our MP Vera Baird. Our Spy tells us that the meeting started at 12 and went on after 1pm when our spy left.

Our spy tells us it was a very interesting meeting. Among things that were discussed were issues surrounding the Eston candidates. Apparently some of the candidates aren’t up to scratch…

They also discussed their general strategy. We can’t tell you any more except that our spy understands that they will begin canvassing next Saturday. The BNP is considering doing a rival canvas on the same day and planning our strategy to negate theirs.

In compiling this blog entry we would like to thank the spy (or spies) for all their hard work in finding out the information. We would also like to thank the Labour group for being so welcoming to our spy even if you didn’t know there was a spy.

Police issued an appeal today to help them solve a "racially motivated incident" between a white nine-year-old and a five-year-old Asian boy at a play area.

The abuse took place in Summerhill Park, Hartlepool, when the bigger boy was with two adults, two other children, and two babies.

A Cleveland Police spokesman said: "The incident occurred when an Asian mother with her eight-year-old daughter and five-year-old son, while playing in the play area, were subject to racial abuse from a white male.

"This male pushed the five-year-old son over, causing him to stumble. Fortunately, no injuries were caused.

"The juvenile was in company with two adult white females, two other children aged between eight and 10, and two babies in pushchairs.

"The juvenile male suspect is white, is nine or ten years of age, of chunky build, with short bright ginger hair."

The boy wore a dark T-shirt and tracksuit bottoms, while the women had their hair tied back and also wore tracksuits, the police spokesman said of the incident, which took place on Saturday at 5.30pm.

How do we know that this was a racist incident? Were any racist words said? How do we know that it wasn’t just simple bullying?

In the coming elections in May the British National Party will be fielding 10 candidates, it’s highest ever in Cleveland. The wards where we will be standing in are Rift House, Coatham, Eston, Skelton, Southbank, Billingham North, Newtown, Roseworth, Stockton Town Centre and Stockton Village.

This election is particularly significant because the Eston candidate, a man of 19 is believed to be the youngest candidate for councillor in the United Kingdom in many decades, possibly ever. Wayne Burdett (19) was quoted as saying ‘In the last election the Labour party was annihilated in Eston after showing how utterly inept they were. The people of Eston placed their trust in the Eston Independents who haven’t actually done anything since they were elected.

Since the last election we have seen local bus services become almost none existent in some parts of Redcar and Cleveland and those services that still exist are either late or don’t turn up which is making it hard on the elderly and those heavily reliant on public transport. Is it too much to ask for a public transport system that serves the whole community which we can rely on?’

Wayne went on to say 'I think I am extremely likely to win especially when there are 11 candidates all splitting the vote. I guess I will just have to thank the Lib Dems for that'.

A spokesman for the BNP said ‘the BNP go into the election with high spirits and the confidence that we will win. We have already decided on a local manifesto which includes better public transport, an end to halal lamb which is served in all schools and a halt to anymore raises in the salary of local councillors which has risen by £3710 this year alone which is a disgrace and a slap in the face to all those hard working council tax payers who have to cough up more in council tax just to pay for their greed’.

Normanby Councillor faces jail sentence

Redcar and Clevelandcouncillor, David Tomlin, 64, pleaded guilty to three counts of false representation at Teesside Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

2006- A Year in Review

This is a post from my other blog called Central News.

Today we are having a look back at the year gone by.

In February Nick Griffin was cleared of two charges and the jury could not come to a verdict on the other two charges. Later in the year he had another trial where he was cleared of all charges. It was a massive victory for free speech.

In February, the same month, it was found that 40% of Muslims want Sharia law introduced into Britain.

In the very same month John Prescott decided to destroy local democracy by banning councillors from voting if they had an opinion on the issue beforehand which means that councillors could not represent the views of their constituents.

In March we found that nursery rhymes are being rewritten so they won’t offend anyone. Thanks to that we are now going to sing baa baa rainbow sheep. Just 5 days later a mayoress was stripped of her position after joining the BNP. While BNP members were being attacked, suspected terrorists were able to tour around the houses of parliament as guests of Labour peers. But what can you expect when our own government goes ahead and saves the lives of terrorists that kill our soldiers in Iraq?

In March it also emerged that the EU will get the constitution through regardless of democratic opinion.

In April the Lords successfully got the Government to back down on making ID cards mandatory but the government decided you will have to pay for them anyway in their own sly little way. This happened on the same day as it emerged that more than half of the voters in this country want Blair out.

In April Gordon Brown decided that he would rather send £8.5 billion to Africa than pay for our crumbling NHS or pay for more prison places so we can actually jail rapists instead of cautioning rapists. In the same month the government announced they are going to put a few safeguards into the Regulatory Reform Bill but can they be changed by the bill itself? Maybe they will do something good with it and actually allow people to pay their council tax with cash?

While Blair was saying that we won’t be going to war with Iran he decided that British troops were going to take part in war games with a target that looked just like Iran.

In April, it also emerged that voters were deserting Labour in droves and going to vote BNP with some newspapers expecting them to get 70 council seats.

Lovely Mr Prescott thinking that we definitely need more housing came up with the bright idea of concreting over peoples backyards for more housing space. No wonder he wanted this to happen as it emerged that we are the biggest haven for asylum seekers in Europe.

In May the BNP made their long awaited breakthrough by doubling the amount of councillors that they had including getting a load elected on Barking and Dagenham council. These councillors were to prove a real asset as just two weeks later Barking council announced that they are going to build houses which will only be for local people. The treason continued though with our government giving free mobile phones to failed asylum seekers.

In June it emerged that multicultural communities were less trusting and less happy. This happened at around the same time that David Cameron said that improving people's happiness is a key challenge for politicians. I wonder if we were happy when a criminal got KFC to protect his human rights or I wonder if we were happy about the government giving their blessing to forced marriages? Maybe they are right about multicultural societies. You had to think that especially when it emerged that Muslim police are more corrupt and that the government were thinking about giving amnesty to half a million illegals.

In August it emerged that Britain presents a greater security threat to the United States than Iran or Iraq.

In September it got even worse for local democracy when councillors were banned from voting on things not just if they held an opinion but if they owned something like a mobile phone and were voting on something like mobile phone masts. In the spirit of democracy 11 ‘anti-fascist’ campaigners targeted a teacher from Burton because he belonged to the BNP. In the spirit of freedom Muslims threatened violence in Australia after they were told to act civilised. In the very same month the MCB threatened Britain with terrorism. Threats weren’t too bad but Belgium received much worse when they had Ramadan riots.

The EU decided that it was time to change national boundaries and create trans-national regions. The EU also decided that workers could no longer decide how long they can work overtime.

In the same month the government gave 80,000 bogus asylum seekers amnesty to live here. The insanity continued when the government announced that they were going to fine cyclists £2500 for not having a bell. The country was getting weirder after the CBI announced that they were against large scale immigration which undermined wages while the unions were for it. Too bad the queen wasn’t thinking the same way as the CBI when she hired Eastern Europeans.

The insanity continued when it emerged that police could actually lose their jobs for chasing criminals. It didn’t stop there. A member of the BNP was found guilty of a racially aggravated offence despite the fact that a victim didn’t come forward and despite the fact the only witness wasn’t 100% sure of what was said. Of course the insanity continued. It reached it’s climax when the police decided to consult potential terrorists on the arrests of terrorists and when they decided the foreign prisoners that they didn’t deport were no longer a priority. No matter. Atleast the immigrants were taking priest jobs too. It’s just a pity teachers weren’t flooding in to take care of all the children that schools were too overwhelmed to take.

While our troops were fighting for freedom in foreign countries their families were banned from protesting in Manchester. In a further move against freedom it emerged that those constituencies that had not voted Labour would have their hospitals closed. Labour liked the feel of taking away our freedom so decided that serious crimes could be punished by £100 fines and no jail time and there would be no trial even if you were innocent.

It doesn’t matter if you’re Christian or not. In Bulwell you will be buried the Islamic way. Muslims felt the same with football when they decided that junior football should not be played during Ramadan because it might disadvantage their players.

September was a busy month for the idiots in government but October was the worst. Muslims were pissed after someone made a Mohammed bobblehead and the church decided that god might be a woman and shouldn’t be referred to as ‘he’ anymore.

In the same month prisons became full to capacity. The immigration crisis also started to get worse when it was revealed that 1 million more migrants might be arriving soon which made it not so surprising when it was revealed that immigration numbers are the largest in the history of Britain. Immigration also lead to English becoming a foreign language in most primary schools and TB becoming prevalent in London.

The EU also showed that they don’t know what democracy is when they passed a motion that most never voted in favour of.

In October Blair said that troops will get whatever they need but then we found out he was lying. He managed to slyly show that he wasn’t lying by renting helicopters off private companies. While Blair was lying through his teeth the head of the army was threatened with the sack after he told the truth.

Blair decided on an ingenious solution for dealing with the prisons crisis. He decided to let prisoners escape. Why they didn’t build more prisons is beyond me but maybe they wasted it paying for research into pockets. I don’t think they did because they managed to have enough money to pay prisoners to leave prisons. Blair was also releasing prisoners in droves and they were re-offending in droves.

It also emerged that diversity sucks after a scientific study found that diverse communities are the least trusting.

Common sense got a girl arrested after she asked to be moved into another group in her science lesson because she couldn’t speak their language or rather they couldn’t speak hers. We found out the police don’t have common sense when they decided to muzzle police dogs and make them head butt running criminals.

It emerged that alcoholics and drug addicts were being paid incapacity benefit.

In yet another waste of taxpayers money a council spent £10,000 on a ‘who said baa’ investigation. The NHS also decided to waste money by spending £300,000 on removing tattoos.

Bin men were turned into police after the government decided that they are going to let bin men fine you.

The EU was seen again. This time they were deciding whether or not we should have car lights on during the day while they were also deciding on how to murder tens of millions of animals. They also planned to seize British waters and make them 'common maritime space' and do away with the pint of beer. Why don’t we get out of the EU after all less than half of our trade is with the EU.

While the government were acting like clowns they were giving clowning lessons to refugees. While Eastern Europeans were undercutting Brits the government decided to stop anymore Africans from coming in even though Eastern Europeans were the bigger problem.

We found that Alqaeda was winning the battle of ideas with British Muslims but we decided to let more in anyway and the newspapers admitted that 50% of all victims of racial murders are white and most victims of racially motivated crime are white. In a similar story there was a victory for justice when the murderers of Kriss Donald were found guilty. In another victory for justice Nick Griffin and Mark Collette were found innocent on all charges.

The BBC finally admitted they were biased but we knew that anyway.

Labour decided that it is a rarity that they do their job so decided that those living in councils which do their job properly will be taxed more.

In November we found that 10% of crime was committed by immigrants. We found that antisocial behaviour caused by our teenagers is caused by family breakdowns.

Hundreds of young Muslims were found to be becoming radicalised.

Drug addicts in prison received a payout from the government because they were forced to stop taking drugs. This was while the government was banning smoking in public even though more than half of violent offenders just receive a caution. Police also decided they wanted to become just a little bit more fascist and ban people from causing offence. I don’t know why they would want to do that. Think of the paperwork involved.

Blair was caught lying to troops again about military equipment and we found that half of all boarder police work in an office.

While Mr Blair was lying to troops he was also charging them the privilege of risking their lives.

We found that Labour was acting corruptly when we found that council taxes were going into Labour party coffers.

This month despite MPs being incompetent they decided they want more money, £100,000 to be exact. They also decided to help migrants get more money by getting them to learn about all the different benefits that they can claim. While loads of people were entering it was found that 10% of Brits live overseas. Shock about immigration didn’t stop there. We found that 1 legal immigrant was entering this country every minute.

The EU was in the news again when they decided to close down a business even though their own court told them to re-open it.

The NHS decided to waste more money by giving people dancing lessons and trampolining lessons. People were getting angry at schools after it was found that they serve halal.

It was also revealed that only 129 of the 1013 foreign criminals had been deported. This is probably just one of he reasons why they have no chance of winning the next election. The other reason is that they are making people work as slaves.

Muslims compromising healthcare

SOME Muslims are undermining the battle to rid Britain’s hospitals of killer infections by refusing to wash their hands when visiting sick relatives.

Dispensers containing anti-bacterial gel have been placed outside wards at hospitals all over Britain in a bid to get rid of superbugs like MRSA and PVL.

It prevents people bringing in more infections. But some Muslims refuse to use the hand cleansers on religious grounds because they contain alcohol.

Health watchdogs are so concerned they intend to meet with NHS bosses in the New Year to try and hammer out a solution.

Why do they need to think up a solution? It’s obvious what they need to do. If Muslims refuse to wash their hands they should be banned from the hospital unless they are seriously ill. There is absolutely no excuse for not washing your hands when at a hospital even if it is for religious reasons.

The Guardian try to expose the BNP again

The Guardian has another two stories about how their mole infiltrated the BNP and found… well nothing! They are spending quite a lot of time on this none story even though they didn’t find anything significant but never mind. They infiltrated the party for 12 months so we have to give them a bone seeing as how they must be seriously pissed as wasting all that time and money and coming up with nothing.

I will put snippets in this blog but a lot of it has already been said yesterday so just look at yesterday and you will find most stuff.

Here it is:

The British National party believes its efforts to sanitise its public image have brought it to the brink of an electoral breakthrough, according to unpublished documents and tapes uncovered by the Guardian.

The clean-up, ordered by the leader, Nick Griffin, to rid the party of its hooligan stereotype is, according to the documents, aimed at legitimising the BNP in the eyes of a wider electorate.

Party leaders believe they can double the number of BNP councillors, gain a foothold on the Greater London Assembly and make a serious tilt at a small number of especially vulnerable parliamentary constituencies.

Well kudos to you for finding what we have been saying for ages. Who knew we think that we can double our councillors and get elected to parliament and the London Assembly? Unless you live under a rock I think everyone knew this.

The party's support is largely confined to a handful of small areas,

I thought you said yesterday we have lots of company directors and other middle class people? How is that confined? Please explain.

If we are racist why did you hear very few racist epithets while you were a member for more than a year and organiser for 7 months?

The Guardian expose the BNP as... Normal!

It seems as if The Guardian newspaper is on our side. Well not really but they do give us a bit of good publicity and accidentally demolishes the myth that we are all poor knuckle dragging Nazis who want to see a bit more cooking of the average Jew. You can read their recruitment campaign for the BNP here.

While you’re on my blog I will give you a chance to read some of it:

Guardian reporter Ian Cobain joined the BNP and became central London organiser. He found:

· Encrypted lists of middle-class members
· A network of false identities
· The covert rulebook

Activists are being encouraged to adopt false names when engaged on BNP business, to reduce the chance of their being identified as party members in their other dealings with the public.

Wow. So he lied about being a nationalist and he was so good at lying he became organiser. Congratulations.

We have middle class members? Just a few weeks ago we were all poor uneducated racists. Yes I know we have middle class members. Two of the members of the Teesside committee are teachers.

I don’t know about London but we don’t have false identities when we are out leafleting or doing official business. If they have false names in London why is that a bad thing? BNPers using their real names would probably be fired from their job for using their democratic right to join a party.

The BNP has also been instructing its activists in the use of encryption software to conceal the content of their email messages, and to protect the party's secret membership lists.

That’s what BNP emails are for so outside people cannot see official BNP business. Why shouldn’t the BNP protect their membership lists? Shock horror! They are complying with the Data Protection Act something which The Guardian is not.

Party members are also employing counter-surveillance techniques, including the routine use of rendezvous points at which they will gather before being redirected to clandestine meetings.

Yes we do this. This is common knowledge so we don’t get leftwingers showing and trying to fight us. We just want a peaceful meeting. What’s wrong with that? Left-wingers do show up. Don’t think they don’t. I was once sent to a redirection point when Nick Griffin was going to come (he cancelled in the end). The leftwingers showed up, about 30 of them all chanting ‘black and white unite and fight. Bash the BNP’. When I found where the real meeting was I calmly walked out of the pub, stood over the road for a few minutes watching the demonstration which was a risk considering some of the demonstrators were in my college, one of which was in one of my classes. I waited 10 minutes then walked to the real meeting.

BNP activists are also now discouraged from using any racist or anti-semitic language in public, in order to avoid possible prosecution. In a BNP rulebook, issued only to activists and organisers, they are instructed that they should avoid acting in a way which fits stereotypes of the far right, and "act only in a way that reflects credit on the Party".

Wow! So members of the BNP are told not to be racist or anti-Semitic? I thought they were all racists?

In an attempt to achieve the degree of political legitimacy which it believes it needs to win more votes, the extreme rightwing party is attempting to establish itself in affluent areas of the capital such as Belgravia, Chelsea and Knightsbridge.

The BNP already has significant numbers of members living in those areas. They include Peter Bradbury, a leading proponent of complementary medicine who has links to Prince Charles, Richard Highton, a healthcare regulator, and Simone Clarke, principal dancer with the English National Ballet.

There are also dozens of company directors, computing entrepreneurs, bankers and estate agents among the 200 members and lapsed members living in central London. One member is a servant of the Queen residing at Buckingham Palace, while a number are former Conservative party activists.

So the BNP actually do have well educated middle class members. Who knew? Well just about everyone but let’s give the reporter a cookie for finding it out. You are also forgetting about the authors we have in the BNP but never mind. Atleast the nation now knows we have good members including members with links to the Royal family.

The reporter seemed to fool the BNP members who he talked to a lot. Here is his own account of what happened:

Basically he starts chatting to someone called Steve who was his first contact inside the BNP. Here is what Steve said to him:

"The whole world is pouring down on us," he said. "It's a huge problem, and it's going to get worse." Not that he is a racist, you understand - "I'm on the liberal wing of the party ... most of the people in the party are" - and he doesn't blame the immigrants themselves - "if I was a 19-year-old Kurd, I'd be trying to get into the country"

That’s what I have been saying. I don’t blame the immigrants and neither do the BNP. So how is this supposed to show us in a bad light Guardian man? If anything it shows us in a positive light.

In my seven months as a party member I heard very few racist epithets, and no anti-semitic comments.

Really? I thought we were racist Nazis who loved cooking the Jews for the summer barbecue?

Shortly after this, Sadie Graham, the BNP's Group Development Officer, writes from Nottingham to thank me for becoming the central London organiser and to offer advice. This includes the suggestion that I contact my "regional security officer" before holding any meetings.

The following week I receive an email with an encrypted attachment. Using the software from Nick, I open up the attachment to find it is an Excel spreadsheet listing 192 current and lapsed members living in the three central London boroughs, plus the north London boroughs of Camden and Islington. I am also sent a second list of people who have joined in the previous few months, or expressed an interest in joining.

They include dozens of company directors, computing entrepreneurs, bankers and estate agents, and a handful of teachers. One member is a former Miss England, another is the American chief executive of a City investment corporation, while one is a servant of the Queen, living at Buckingham Palace.

Who would have though we would have a former Miss England? It seems they are mentioning the well educated again. Are they deliberately trying to make us look better? It seems that way to me.

Cleveland schools serve halal lamb

Halal meat is being served to pupils in state schools without their knowledge, even if they believe the religious slaughter is cruel.

I actually blogged about this on December 1^st on my other blog here when I reported that ALL schools in Cleveland serve halal lamb. Parents don’t get told about it though.

Stockton Councillor receives drink-drive ban

The leader of Stockton Council said a fellow councillor caught drink-driving should "seriously consider her position".

Cllr Bob Gibson believes resignation could be an option for Lib Dem Julia Roberts after she received a driving ban at Teesside Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

The ward councillor of Bishopsgarth and Elm Tree was banned from driving for a year and fined £200 with £43 costs after being caught driving over the limit on Yarm Road in Stockton on December 8. She pleaded guilty to the offence.

Cllr Gibson said: "I think she should consider her position very seriously and consider the people who elected her and how they will feel about it.

"With all the campaigns around at this time of year against drink-driving, I think councillors, of all people, should not be finding themselves in this sort of position.

"It's now up to her and the Lib Dems what she does."

Muslim to give christmas speech! Allah Akbar!

A veiled Muslim woman will deliver this year's alternative Christmas speech on Channel 4, the broadcaster has said.

Khadija, a Zimbabwean-born British citizen who has been wearing the full veil - or niqab - for 10 years, has been given the slot.

The message will reflect a year in which the wearing of religious clothing and symbols have "dominated the news agenda", said a Channel 4 spokesman.

I know which channel I definitely won’t be watching come the Christmas speech.

BBC 'forget' facts

The BBC is reporting that race crime charges have risen by 28%. They go on about anti Muslim violence then go on to say:

In race offences, the number of defendants pleading guilty rose by 2% to 71%. Overall 87% of race cases resulted in a conviction, while for religiously-aggravated charges, 98% of defendants were convicted.

Mr Macdonald said: "Racist and religiously-aggravated crimes are particularly nasty because victims are targeted solely because of their identity or beliefs.

What the BBC fails to mention is that most victims of racist crime are white. They should know about it. They reported on it in November.

When Is Cruelty not Cruelty?

To follow up the article by Mark Nixon in January’s edition of Identity where his last paragraph touched on the subject of ritual slaughter, I would like to put a bit of “meat on the bones” (excuse the pun) of this subject.

In the U.K. it is a requirement that all animals should be stunned before slaughter under the Welfare of animals (slaughter or killing) regulations 1995. Stunning is a process that causes animals to lose consciousness, making them insensible to pain and suffering. The Jewish and Muslim communities are exempt from this law as their religious teachings state that an animal must be fully alive before it is slaughtered.

Does Religious Slaughter Cause An Animal To Suffer?

In June 2003, the Farm Animal Welfare Council (F.A.W.C.) published a report based on evidence from many individuals and organisations as well as observing instances of religious slaughter itself.

Their report focused on three particular animal welfare issues with regard to slaughter without pre-stunning.
These were:
• Pre slaughter handling
• The potential for pain and distress
• The time to loss of brain responsiveness.

On the first of these issues the F.A.W.C. concluded that the level of restraint required to expose the throat, perform an effective cut and hold the animal still until it had bled out was far greater than that needed for conventional slaughter.

With regard to the potential for pain and distress, they concluded that such a drastic cut would inevitably trigger off a barrage of sensory information to the brain of a conscious animal and therefore, “We are persuaded that such a massive injury would result in very significant pain and distress before insensibility supervenes.”

On the issue of time taken to loss of brain responsiveness, the F.A.W.C. cited work on calves, which had shown a variation in the period to insensibility from 10-120 seconds. (Not a long time? Try hanging yourself up by the feet and holding your breath for 2 minutes!)
This report was submitted to the government with the recommendations that “Slaughter without pre-stunning is unacceptable and the government should repeal the current exemptions.”

In April 2004, the government issued its response to this report stating that they were not intending to adopt the F.A.W.C. recommendations.
The R.S.P.C.A. responded to this by urging the government to consider more carefully the animal welfare implications of allowing continuation of slaughter without pre-stunning. However, in its final response to this issue in March 2005, the government again stated that it would not change the law and slaughter without pre-stunning would continue for the Jewish and Muslim communities.

How Many Animals Are Slaughtered By Religious Methods?

The Meat Hygiene Service (M.H.S.) Animal Welfare Review (March 2004) stated that during a one-week period in September 2003, the numbers of animals killed for Kosher meat were; 742 cattle and calves, 1,704 lambs and 39,184 poultry.
A total of 856 cattle and calves, 139,843 sheep, lambs and goats and 2,136,805 poultry were slaughtered for Halal meat during the same period.

Although at the moment no Kosher meat is produced in the U.K from animals that have been stunned before slaughter, the M.H.S. indicates that the majority of cattle (but not other species) are now stunned immediately after being cut. Data also reveals that some Halal slaughter now involves pre-stunning.
However, bearing in mind the total numbers of animals involved, there is still substantial room for improvement in this area.

Comparisons

At this point it is worthwhile comparing the government’s refusal to amend the law on what is basically a mediaeval, barbaric and unnecessary act and their obsession in banning foxhunting with hounds.

Foxhunting has been debated for decades, but the government decided to implement the Parliament act and steamroller the bill through when it became obvious that it was not going to get past the House of Lords. Why?

My own view is that the timing was most important. It was a diversion to the general public who were becoming uneasy about the war in Iraq and it was a “trade off” to certain Labour politicians who were becoming increasingly uncomfortable and vociferous about the legalities and justification of that same war.

There is also the fact that the government weren’t going to lose anything by imposing the ban. Foxhunting is deemed to be a sport of the upper classes; “Hooray Henrys on horses” as it was once described to me, and these people are traditional Tory voters. (Maybe there was a bit of “pay back” due for the way the Tories, under Thatcher, destroyed the mining communities, traditional Labour heartlands.)

I don’t entirely agree with this upper class assumption. My local hunt had many followers who could hardly be described as “upper class.”

Moreover, some of the local lads were less interested in “following the hounds” and more interested in discovering the whereabouts of the hares and rabbits in order to conduct their own private hunt, with long-legged dogs and lamps at a later date.

Labelling Of Religiously Slaughtered Meat

I come towards the conclusion of this article on a Sunday morning eagerly anticipating Sunday lunch and we can be content in the knowledge that the meat we are going to enjoy has been provided from an animal that has not had to endure undue suffering in order to provide us with that meal.
Or can we?
Well I’m sorry, but the answer is no. The consumption of certain parts of the animal hindquarters such as veins, lymphatic and sciatic nerve and its branches is forbidden under certain religious law. To remove them is a specialised task and one that has not been practised in the U.K. since the 1930’s. Consequently, all hindquarters are rejected as not fit for consumption (by certain religious groups), as are damaged carcasses and a high proportion of this meat is sold on the open market. (For you and me.)

A previous F.A.W.C report (1985) highlighted this issue and recommended that all meat from animals slaughtered by religious methods should be clearly labelled in order for the general public to have an informed opinion on whether they wish to buy meat slaughtered by this method. In the March 2005 government report, mentioned earlier, it was stated that they would be willing to discuss this with various stakeholder groups.

However my last information, dated 8th February 2006, says that these discussions have yet to take place.

My article was headed by a question. There are no prizes for the answer. It’s all too obvious.

The sickening pandering by this government to certain minority groups goes on and on in their bid to retain power at all costs.
